Who we are
Hope for RDU is the community ministry of the Summit Church and is based on the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to serve our neighbors as an outward expression of the grace and humility we have received by being a part of the body of Christ.
We, as a body of believers at the Summit, are seeking out ways to be in tune with the needs of those around us and act on them. God has stirred our hearts with a greater passion for RDU and we cannot sit idly by without taking action. Our motivation for Hope for RDU is founded in the love of Jesus Christ. We recognize that there can be no true healing, redemption, or peace apart from Christ. While meeting physical needs of our neighbors in RDU, we seek to meet emotional and spiritual needs as well.
What we do
Hope for RDU seeks to raise awareness within the Summit Church family about the physical and spiritual needs in our community. We have several local affiliate ministries that have partnered with us to more effectively reach people all over RDU. We don’t desire to recreate ministires that already exisit in our community; instead, we want to support existing ministires that seek to bless our neighbors by providing human and financial resources.
